Lake Tamarack

Stocked annually with rainbow trout, bass and crappie, 110-acre Lake Tamarack provides fishermen and women of all skill levels the ability to catch dinner or just sit back on the shore and 'wet a line'. No gas powered boats are allowed on the lake. Canoes, kayaks and electric powered Jon boats get you out on the water. A sandy beach and playground provide places for children and adults to play and swim.

The covered pavilion with picnic tables and grills are the perfect setting for a family outing or private party. Community activities such as the Monday Night picnics during Daylight Savings Time and special events such as the Fourth of July celebration get folks together for good food and fun.

Nature Lover’s Paradise

No matter what the season, Bent Tree is a nature lover’s paradise. On display throughout the hardwood forests are nature’s flowering mountain laurel, dogwood, and native azaleas in the spring and summer, autumn leaves in the fall, and natural beauty year-round.

Deer, wild turkey and even an occasional curious bear are common sights throughout the community. Walking trails are maintained to let you enjoy the outdoors on foot.

The Golf Course

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, you will find one of North Georgia’s most beautiful 18-hole championship courses. Designed by Joe Lee, this course was voted by Golf Week magazine in 1992 as the ‘Best Mountain Course’.

The Joe Lee design offers not only a challenge for the skilled golfer, but a pleasant experience for the novice golfer as well. Five sets of tees stretch the course to over 6400 yards, offering a wonderful experience for golfers of all levels.

The generous guest policy allows cabin rental guests to enjoy the spectacular views of the North Georgia mountains while playing their favorite game. Guests can pay the normal guest fees and use all aspects of the course during their stay in the resort.

The Pro Shop

The Bent Tree pro shop offers the latest in golf equipment technology and attire for both men and women. A full range of golfing accessories is available from tees to golf carts. The Sky Caddie rangefinder, available for sale in the pro shop, maps Bent Tree’s course on its website.

The pro shop is operated by two Class A PGA professionals with 20 years experience. Both offer private and group lessons and clinics. Tee times can be made 3 days in advance, starting at 8:30am.

The 19th Hole

When the golf day ends or at any other time the mood strikes, food and refreshments are available at the 19th Hole restaurant. Members and guests may eat at the indoor dining facility, on the porch or out on the deck. A full menu is supplemented with a variety of beer and wine choices

Adjacent to the 19th Hole are the practice driving range and the putting green. Pro staff members conduct lessons here and occasionally offer vendor displays.
