These include 100 year old timbers salvaged and restored from 19th century Atlanta district warehouses, a pleasing open floor plan complete with a ships-style ladder, and a look out tower and loft area with sleeping quarters perfect for children. The attention to details emphasize the feel of being transported back in time to old day mountain living all the way down to the antique style bath tubs and dishware.

Heating

The house is heated by a genuine black iron cast wood burning oven right in the center of the main entertainment area. Gas floor heaters warm individual rooms and the well insulated building is furnished with an abundance of windows and ceiling fans that keep the interior temperature surprisingly comfortable.

The Property

The property is comprised of 20 acres of land with creeks, waterfalls and trails and even a grassy play field where guests can explore and embody the essence of the appalachain lifestyle without ever having to get into the car and drive away.
